Dear all

I am pleased to inform you all about the "Chemical Engineering Quiz 2010"
(ChEQ 2010). Every year best teams from different colleges from Mumbai
compete for the prestigious "N R Kamath Trophy". This year IIChE has given
IIT Bombay the privilege to host this highly respected and admirable
event.

Seeing at the vibrant response from across all the participating colleges
in the past years, we have decided this year to invite also the colleges
from outside Mumbai to be a part of this one day Undergraduate-level quiz.
Attached is the publicity brochure that we will be sending to all the
colleges. We also plan to come up with the souvenir that would contain
info on previous quizzes.

The quiz is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 23rd October 2010 at the
Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay. A maximum of one or two
(final number shall be decided later depending on the number of
participating colleges) teams will be allowed from each college. Each team
must comprise of three undergraduate students from both third and fourth
year. There will also be events for the audience present and there is no
restriction on number of students from each college to attend the quiz.
Faculty members from the participating colleges and IIChE members will be
sought for deciding the questions for the quiz. Detailed set of rules and
other information will later be mailed.

I take this opportunity to invite all the EC members and the faqculty from
Engg. colleges to this event and also help us give as much publicity as
possible to this event in the interim period. We will keep you informed
about the developments as we approach 23rd Oct.
